I Became a Barbarian's Bride - Chapter 138
The familiar but still uncomfortable sensation made Nisha’s body tense up, and Kagan let out a low chuckle.
“Oh dear, did I excite you, princess?”
“…Ah, no. I was just a little surprised.”
“Mm, I won’t do anything. You must be tired, princess.”
Despite that, she could feel something pressing between them, clear and undeniable, reaching up to her navel. Nisha squeezed her eyes shut, trying to convince herself it was just part of his leg. Kagan exhaled hotly near her ear, causing her body to tremble.
“You know, if you keep squirming like that, it’s going to be hard for me…”
“When…when did I…?”
“See, you’re pressed right up against me, moving up and down like you’re trying to seduce me.”
But she wasn’t! She was just trying to adjust herself. Frustration welled up, and she clamped her lips shut, her face flushed red. Kagan burst out laughing, placing a kiss on her collarbone.
“You’re so fun to tease, princess. I’m only joking.”
“…”
“Are you angry?”
“Not at all.”
For someone who wasn’t angry, her voice sounded awfully rigid. Kagan rolled his eyes slowly, wondering what he should do as Nisha wiggled in his arms, trying to get away.
“Oh, princess?”
“I want to wash up.”
“Shall we bathe together?”
“……”
Kagan blinked as he looked down at Nisha, who stared back at him with a sullen expression.
How could something so small and cute exist?
Even when angry, she looked like a squirrel puffing up its cheeks. Her displeasure was evident on her face, but it seemed she couldn’t bring herself to say it aloud.
‘At least her body is warm today.’
It was clear she hadn’t overexerted herself these past few days, likely out of caution.
‘Her body seems to stay warm as long as she avoids taking the medicine and that strange charging process…’
Thinking this, Kagan spoke again.
“Hmm? Is that not okay?”
“If I say no, will you actually not do it?”
“Well, if you say no, what can I say?”
He pressed light kisses to the back of her neck, his voice low.
His expression was annoyingly endearing, with his eyes drooping sweetly, making Nisha purse her lips and take a deep breath.
“Do as you please.”
When had things ever gone the way she wanted? She realized that things always seemed to go his way in the end.
Too tired to argue any further, she gave a brief nod in permission.
“An honor, especially this early in the morning.”
With those words, Kagan buried her under the blanket before getting out of bed first.
Kagan went into the bathroom, turned on the water, and after fiddling with something for a while, he came back and scooped her out from under the blanket.
“What… are you doing?”
“I can’t just bring my precious princess in carelessly. As your knight, I have to make sure the temperature is perfect.”
“…What nonsense.”
Nisha muttered quietly, her face flushing with embarrassment as she lowered her head.
Kagan chuckled softly, lifting the corners of his mouth as he stepped into the bathroom.
The bathroom was already steamy, filled with heat. He set her down gently, and as Nisha stood there, looking a bit lost, he teased her with a mischievous grin.
“Shall I help you undress, Princess?”
“Huh? No!”
Nisha yelped in alarm, then hesitated as she began to remove her clothes.
It felt strange having Kagan undress her, but it also felt odd undressing in front of him in the enclosed bathroom.
Her eyes darted around nervously as she started to take off her negligee.
Kagan had already tossed aside his shirt, and though it seemed like he wasn’t paying her much attention, she hurriedly disrobed and slipped into the bath.
“What’s this? You were in such a hurry to get in, Princess?”
“…”
Her face grew hot.
She wasn’t sure if it was from the steam, the heat of the bathwater, or perhaps something else entirely.
Kagan climbed in after her, settling into the large tub with a heavy thud.
The spacious bathtub seemed large enough to comfortably fit at least ten people if they huddled together.
The problem was that Kagan, despite the vastness of the tub, chose to sit right next to her with a heavy thud.
