As soon as they entered, a soft and gentle voice filled the room, causing Nisha’s eyes to widen slightly.

Flowing silver hair cascaded down, framing a serene and gracefully aged face.

It made Nisha think about how a person could age as beautifully as she has.

She now understood where Kagan’s genes came from, and internally, she was full of admiration.

“Yes, well. This is my wife, whom I brought this time.”

Before the soft voice of the middle-aged woman had even finished, Kagan’s rather indifferent voice cut in.

“…?”

Nisha tilted her head, puzzled.

She had thought he was a man with deep filial piety, but his voice conveyed nothing but annoyance, indifference, and apathy.

“Dear, have I been away too long?”

While Nisha was still taken aback, the dignified former king had already moved to the woman’s side.

“No, it’s fine. You could stay away for another week. But come here, Kagan. Let me see you for a moment.”

“That’s too much…”

“Ah… yes. Please have a seat over there for a moment, Princess.”

Kagan, who had just spoken curtly, whispered gently in Nisha’s ear before turning away with an indifferent expression.

He then knelt on one knee before the woman.

The woman reached out tentatively, touching various parts of Kagan Xieman’s face.

‘Ah…’

It was then that Nisha understood what was wrong with Kagan’s mother and the seer of Xieman.

Rather than saying she was sick, it would be more accurate to say she had lost something.

‘She’s blind.’

The fact that she conversed so well indicated her hearing was intact, and she didn’t seem to have any other issues.

‘If it’s her eyes… Can I heal them?’

She could heal phantom pains.

However, phantom pains never completely disappeared, and Kagan often complained about the pain.

The problem was that she couldn’t be certain if it was because of the nature of phantom pain or if it was the price of the ability.

It was the same for his mother.

If it was simply vision lost due to an accident or illness, she could confidently say she could heal it.

But if it was the price of the ability and would recur like Kagan’s phantom pain, then it would be a problem.

“Hello, Nisha.”

“…Ah, yes. Hello. Um…”

“I’m Tatar Xieman. But just call me Mother, if you would. I’m relieved that the next generation looks like a kind young lady.”

Even though she couldn’t see anything, she spoke as if she could see everything, extending both hands toward Nisha.

Nisha awkwardly approached and carefully took her hands. The woman stood up and gently touched Nisha’s face.

Nisha stiffened, and the woman seemed to realize this, pausing.

“Oh dear, I’m sorry. Since I can’t see people’s faces, I tend to check like this. Did it make you uncomfortable?”

“No, it’s fine.”

Nisha shook her head and cautiously raised her hand.

“Um… Kagan asked if I could try to heal you. May I use my ability?”

“Of course.”

Her closed eyes looked as if they hadn’t been opened in a very long time.

Nisha glanced at Kagan and the former king behind her, then placed her small hand on the woman’s eyelids and activated her ability.

A pure white light slowly began to spread, and then, in an instant, the light flowed into Tatar Xieman. Nisha’s eyes widened as her life force was rapidly drained.

She stared at her now empty hand and took a step back.

“…Ah.”

A small gasp escaped from Tatar’s lips. It sounded like both a moan and a sigh, prompting the former king to stride quickly to her side.

“What’s wrong? Are you alright?”

Her tightly shut eyes trembled and then slowly opened.

“Princess, are you okay?”

“…Ah, yes.”

Nisha glanced down at her hand, then slowly raised her head, still in shock.

‘I charged for nearly twelve hours…’

The fact that all her life force had been drained in the blink of an eye was hard to believe.

“…Titi? Your eyes…”
