So this is all because of Kaisis.

Who told him to be so different from his usual self?

Even if I’m a Guide with matching compatibility, why would he become so relaxed like this?

“Why?”

To his calm question, I answered just as calmly.

“Because they said it makes them sick.”

I blurted out my own complete memory, not that of the current Hillaria.

Then, instead of me, Kaisis opened his eyes sharply and spat out with a cutting voice.

“Who dares. They must have their eyes on their feet. Bring them to me, I’ll tear their mouths apart.”

Why did I like that fierce appearance? It felt like applying medicine to a wound that had been hurting without realizing it was torn.

The night with Kaisis, which had only been burdensome, somehow felt like a secret bamboo forest where everything was refreshingly cleared out.

“If you’re in a situation with such people around you, come to me.”

As expected of a male protagonist.

While I was momentarily lost in thought, Kaisis didn’t miss the opening.

I narrowed my eyes in disbelief while smiling, but my hand was pulled even closer.

Now I was close enough that my knees touched his as he sat.

“What’s your name?”

I was going to threaten him as promised.

“I’m curious about you.”

I was going to reproach him for asking such things when we had agreed not to.

“Why do you try to keep your distance when you come looking for me to save me?”

I would have coldly created distance even if those blue eyes, shining desperately, looked pitiful.

[Deeper contact is needed to accumulate guiding points!]

If the system window hadn’t flashed with a warning, reading my intentions.

If it hadn’t been strange to see him sighing with concern rather than getting angry at all my silence, I might have done so.

I found myself holding my breath.

Then I realized.

Ah, I’m not acting as Duke Ariel right now.

I could show a lukewarm reaction, and if I were scared, I could be afraid.

And that was toward Kaisis, whom I had most avoided and feared.

I felt like I could breathe.

“Is there someone constraining you?”

His consecutive guesses continued.

“Could it be the leader of the magicians?”

My sense of being moved shattered completely.

‘That’s me.’

Have you ever seen such an ungrateful person!

For a moment, I might have glared at him as heat surged through me.

After calling me in every day and scolding me for not finding what he wanted, what now?

He was still suspecting me? What kind of person is this?

“No, it can’t be that woman.”

He suddenly changed his words while I was unconsciously giving him a cold stare.

What was he trying to do now?

“How frustrating. Do I really have to know nothing about you?”

“Yes. That’s our contract. Otherwise, I will never come to Your Majesty again, and also.”

“I understand.”

When I spoke coldly with deliberate force, Kaisis quickly clung to me.

“You don’t need to threaten me.”

Speaking in a coaxing, soothing manner, he buried his lips on the back of my hand again.

“Ugh.”

“I’ll do as you wish.”

It was more like a ticklish friction than an intense contact, like he was playing a prank.

Every time our skin touched, energy was gently sucked away, and perhaps because of that sensation being too ticklish.

My heart beat loudly.

‘This won’t do.’

What I was trying to do was guiding, contact guiding to earn points.

I closed my eyes tightly, thinking that Kaisis, when he wasn’t in his right mind, was a bit more comfortable, and moved.

“What are you trying to do?”

What’s with this pretense of innocence?

“There’s only one reason I came here.”

I boldly narrowed the distance between his parted knees.

Since the Hillaria I was possessing was quite tall for a woman, I was in a position where I could look down slightly at the seated person.

“Your Majesty.”

“……”

“I came to save you. So what we need now isn’t conversation.”

Spouting such lines made me feel like I would die of embarrassment.

But the man before me was no less, if not more, than I.

‘Just wait until you find out who I am.’

When he realizes that the person who was sweet-talking and acting cute is that Duke Ariel, it would be such a terrible black history that kicking the blankets a few times wouldn’t be enough.

Taking comfort in that thought, I cupped the Emperor’s cheek.

And I was surprised.

‘Why is it so soft? Is this baby skin?’

How does a man in his early twenties have skin as smooth as ten-year-old Luias?

Isn’t this cheating?

Despite being startled by that texture, I lowered my head with composure.

Breath, and scent.

‘This is strange.’

More precisely, it was unfamiliar.

I didn’t know what expression to make.

‘Ah, the beginning is different.’

Every time our eyes met, being pulled and swallowed by the person who had lost his mind was how guiding usually started.

So kissing while looking into each other’s eyes like this was very strange and awkward.

Especially in this situation where I had to initiate it!

‘Why is he staring so intently?’

This really wasn’t working.

“Don’t look.”

“……”

I reached out and covered those burdensome blue eyes with my palm.

The sensation of his long eyelashes brushing under my skin was ticklish.

“I’m not allowed to look either?”

No whining tone allowed.

“No, you’re not. It’s burdensome.”

“You seem both natural and awkward when dealing with me.”

“You know how contradictory that expression is, right?”

“You’re different from others, yet unique.”

“I told you no guessing.”

While suppressing my unsettled feelings, I reminded myself of my purpose.

Complete the quest by any means necessary.

Being entangled with the Emperor is unavoidable, but achieve a happy ending without ever being discovered.

So that I won’t die, and can happily conclude this life I’ve started again!

‘For that, I need to do intense contact guiding first.’

I closed my eyes tightly and pressed my lips against his.

As soon as the soft sensation touched, I felt his hands gripping my shoulders tighten and then relax as if in a daze.

The way he moved his lips desperately, urging me on, was pitiful.

When I slightly parted my lips, Kaisis begged me while still touching.

“More. Not enough.”

Once more like that.

“Do it once more.”

And several more times after that.

As our breaths and sighs mixed, energy flowed to him multiple times.

Watching the protruding veins of pain gradually transform into smooth skin, I relaxed my energy.

“Haa, so this is what it feels like…”

“……”

“It feels like my mind is melting.”

While trying to ignore the sigh that somehow made the listener embarrassed.

While trying to regulate so that his heat wouldn’t transfer to me.

“Your Majesty, please let go. You’ve calmed down considerably now.”

“Who says so?”

“I know everything. Please let go.”

“Are you leaving?”

I spoke with a maintained smile while gritting my teeth, and Kaisis didn’t release his arms tightly wrapped around my waist.

Our foreheads touched.

“You’re going to leave like this?”

“…I should go now that you’re stable.”

“Why must you?”

The face close to mine still had overwhelming power, making heat rise.

I felt angry.

He was clearly acting with knowledge.

This wasn’t because I was enchanted by the man before me, but because I had no immunity to physical contact with the opposite s*x!

‘What kind of bewitching behavior is this? Move away, move that face away.’

The system window was also ringing noisily.

“Perhaps.”

It’s probably indicating that points are accumulating, or warning that the time to transform into a maid’s appearance once a day is ending now that the Emperor has stabilized.

“If someone is constraining you.”

No one is constraining me.

“I don’t care who you are.”

That’s not true.

“Come to me.”

Thinking it would be better to distance myself, I moved away, but my wrist was gently caught.

Cloudy eyes desperately tried to keep me in view.

“I won’t hold you. I don’t know about me during the day, but in this moment at night, I’ll wait for you. In exchange, I also propose a deal.”

What is he saying now?

“Tell me your story.”

“What?”

I blinked at the unexpected words.

“Tell me your story.”

“If you’re trying to find something out from that!”

“No. I’m curious about you.”

“……”

It felt like a boulder had been thrown onto the surface of a quiet lake.

Looking into those eyes again, I realized.

That in front of Kaisis, this was the only moment I could be honest in this world.
