I Give Up on the BL Novel's Male Leads - Chapter 139
She noticed that his heartbeat was slightly faster and that the texture felt surprisingly pleasant against her skin.
As his hand moved down to his abs, she felt the firmness intensify.
“Edwin.”
She opened her eyes to look at him, and he smiled at her with a peculiar expression, gazing deeply into her eyes.
“Youâll probably forget all of this by morning.”
“âŚWhat do you mean?”
“If thatâs the case, then it doesnât really matter what I do to you.”
“âŚEdwin?”
“But that canât be.”
He said this as he rested his face against her chest.
Illein instinctively hugged him, and he became even more subdued, listening to her heartbeat.
“Edwin.”
“Yeah?”
“I want to hear your heartbeat too.”
He smiled at her words, seemingly pleased, and then lay back down. Illein leaned in to rest her ear against his bare chest.
Soon, the rhythmic sound of his strong heartbeat echoed in her ears. Unlike her own feeble heartbeat, the vigorous thumping sounded like a drum, and she closed her eyes slowly, entranced.
“If you fall asleep, I donât know what I might do. Are you still going to sleep?”
“âŚYes.”
She could no longer resist the overwhelming drowsiness.
Before long, she drifted off to sleep, relaxing her body completely.
The heavy arm draped over her shoulder didnât frighten her. Yet, she wondered if this was all just a dream as she slowly succumbed to slumber.
Soon, Illein was fully asleep while Edwin shared his magic with her.
“How strange.”
He said, pulling her closer while ensuring she wouldnât feel cold by pulling the sheets over them.
He gazed at her sleeping figure and continued to share his magic, hoping to replenish her strength.

As morning arrived, Illein woke up in a daze, realizing she had dreamt something strange the night before, though she couldn’t recall the details.
Habitually, she washed up and began preparing to head to the academy.
Just as she was about to step outside the mansion to walk as she usually did, she spotted Willai waiting in front of the house.
“Willai.”
She frowned at the sight of him.
“Oh, hi.”
In addition to Willai, she noticed four other students.
Alisha and Phenon werenât in their academy uniforms because they had been expelled, but the other three were dressed in their academy attire.
“By the way, have you heard about the upcoming trial?”
Willai continued awkwardly.
“So what?”
Illein replied coldly, prompting Maxinon to chime in.
“Write a settlement agreement! That way, the penalties will be lighter!”
Illein sighed at the absurdity of his request. She looked at them with a face full of disdain.
“What?”
“No, itâs just that if you agree, our punishments will be less severe.”
“And that gives you the right to barge into my home?”
“The police gave us your address.”
Alisha said this and then looked at Illein.
Alisha was annoyed by the current situation. Yet, seeing Illein neatly dressed in his academy uniform, she thought he looked quite good. It also felt like Illein had grown a little taller.
Alisha liked delicate-looking men.
Illein, being strikingly beautiful with two tear marks on his cheeks, looked almost like a seductive male. Every time he smiled, it reminded Alisha of a fox.
After Alisha was expelled, she had considered bringing in someone like Illein as a way to vent her frustration.
But Illein was one of a kind.
With his silky, white hair and bright, clear blue eyes, he seemed ethereal.
It felt like if an ice fairy was to take human form, it would be Illein.
Alisha was frustrated by the need to lower herself in this way.
She had never made such requests of her lovers before.
Instead, she was someone who would take a high-handed approach and made them cry because of her
“Hey!”
Alisha glared at Illein annoyedly.
“You got me expelled. Isnât that enough?”
“Alisha.”
“What more do you want? Is it not enough that weâve been humiliated? Do you want to go to trial and make us face punishment again?”
As Alisha spoke with resentment, Illein couldnât help but let out a small laugh.
“If thatâs what you came here for, give up. I wonât make any agreements for you.”
“What?”
“Get a bunch of petitions signed. That would be easier.”
Illein said this and turned to walk away.
Alisha grabbed his arm and said,
“Your mansion looks completely rundown. How about this? If I give you some money, will you help?”
Alisha made this comment to undermine Illein, trying to preserve her own pride.
“Alisha.”
When Illein called her name softly, Alisha felt something stir in her chest.
She couldn’t accept that she had felt excitement over something as trivial as a poor noble son.
“Cut it out.”
Illein then pushed her arm away.
