I Give Up on the BL Novel's Male Leads - Chapter 150
For Edwin, meeting Illenas had become the most energizing moment of his day.
He wasnât exactly sure what kind of feeling it was. The closest emotion he had experienced in his life that resembled it was camaraderie.
It was the kind of bond formed on the battlefield, where you relied on each other. Besides that, there were moments when she felt like a comrade in how much she occupied his thoughts.
– Fssss!
The issue preventing him from quickly seeing Illenas reappeared. As soon as he sensed the familiar presence, Edwin grabbed his wand and aimed it at the direction where the presence was felt.
“Ahaha. Ah, Iâve been caught.”
At that moment, a man who looked exactly like Edwin, dressed in the same attire, appeared with a playful grin. Edwin’s expression hardened into a fierce glare as he looked at the stranger.
“Theodore.”
At the same time, Edwin uttered the hated name.
“What are you talking about? My name is Edwin.”
Edwin coldly glared at the man who responded to him with playful words.
“Youâre the one whoâs funny. Are you really putting up with Rodeinâs provocations?”
“⌔
“Or should I discipline you again?”
Edwin aimed his wand at the man. However, the man, whom Edwin had called Theodore, only smiled widely in response to Edwinâs actions.
The two of them were astonishingly alike, almost as if they were the same person.
There was no distinguishing feature between the two of them, at least externally.
It almost seemed like Edwin was staring at a mirror, with the only real difference being their expressions. Edwinâs was cold and impassive, while Theodoreâs looked almost fox-like, filled with joy and madness.
“Edwin.”
“⌔
“Call me âbrotherâ again.”
“⌔
“Who knows, maybe Iâll pretend to listen to you.”
Despite the taunting, Edwin stood unmoving, still glaring at him.
“Edwin, do you still hate me?”
“âŚYes.”
“Why? What happened between us isnât entirely my fault, nor yours. Even so, you still hate me?”
“All of this is your fault. If youâre planning to lecture me with more of your sophistry, stop now.”
“Wahaha!”
Theodore laughed loudly at Edwinâs words, then approached him with a sad smile. Edwin took a step back cautiously, still keeping his wand aimed at him.
“Edwin, youâre blaming the wrong person. You and I are the ones who should be there for each other.”
“…Brother.”
“But how did we end up like this?”
“Itâs your fault. Iâm sure…”
“Edwin.”
Theodore called Edwin softly, handing him his wand. Edwin glared at him in disbelief, unable to trust his actions.
“I am you, and you are me.”
“âŚBrother.”
“Think carefully about who made us this way.”
“Brother, all of this is because of you⌔
“No, itâs not. Remember the time we were getting along well. Think about the people who tried to erase us from the world and made us like this.”
Theodoreâs words left Edwin confused. Yet, he didnât let his guard down and continued to watch him.
“Brother, even so, I still think itâs your fault.”
Theodore smirked and took a step back. Edwin was fully aware that despite Theodore handing over his wand, there was still a dangerous intensity about him.
“Your control device.”
“…”
“The one youâve been carrying around to control my power.”
“…”
“Illein has it.”
When Edwin heard âIllein,â he knew that Theodore was referring to Illenas.
It seemed Theodore must have seen Illenas disguised as Illein.
“Did you approach her because of that device?”
Edwin asked, and Theodore chuckled.
“You know thatâs not it.”
“…”
“You remember, donât you?”
Theodore said, slowly turning his body. Edwin immediately aimed his wand at him.
“Sorry, Brother. But I…”
“Iâm the one whoâs sorry, Edwin.”
Theodore said, pulling another wand from his inner pocket.
“If you attack me here, Rodein will report you this time. If youâre okay with that, then attack.”
Theodore chuckled and then vanished into the darkness.
Edwin clenched his fists, and perhaps it wasnât just concern for Illenas, but also something else that stirred within him. He realized that.
He stood there for a moment, staring at the spot where his brother had disappeared, before muttering to himself.
“Tsk.”
He walked away, heading to check if Illenas was safe.

Illenas had arrived at the hotel operated by Marquis Wignumâs family with Melias.
The hotel was divided into three main areas.
The boutique, hotel, and restaurant could be easily distinguished.
The boutique was divided into floors: the first floor sold expensive cosmetics, the second floor handled bags, the third floor sold jewelry, the fourth floor was dedicated to custom-made clothes, and the fifth floor displayed miscellaneous goods. The sixth floor specialized in handmade shoes.
Everything was luxurious and high-end.
