I Give Up on the BL Novel's Male Leads - Chapter 123
Alisha said this and abruptly stood up.
“Phenon! Youāll regret this!”
The chairman glared at her retreating figure, then turned her attention to Phenon.
“Student Phenon.”
“Yes, Chairman!”
“You are also expelled. You are an accomplice for placing the wallet in Student Illein’s desk.”
“No, I told the truth!”
“The place to confess as an accomplice for leniency is not here but before the magistrate.”
“Chairman!”
Phenon tried to protest, but the already exhausted chairman, worn out from dealing with Willai and Alisha, would not allow it.
She turned to call for Maxinon and Lennon.
“Student Maxinon.”
“Yes? I was just following the girls around Willai!”
Maxinon exclaimed in surprise as his name was called. The chairman held up a finger to her lips, signaling him to be quiet.
“Student Lennon.”
“Me too! I was just hanging out with the pretty girls! I donāt know anything about crimes! I was just with Willai because girls flock around him!”
The chairman let out a deep sigh.
“You and your companions will receive a one-month suspension alongside Student Willai. However, all of your midterm exams will be counted as failures, so if you donāt do well on the final exams, you will not earn enough credits to graduate.”
“Thank you, Chairman!”
At the chairmanās words, the three of them bowed their heads in unison.
“Also, if any of you three insult Student Illein in any way within the academy, remember that you may also face expulsion!”
With that, the chairman signaled the end of the disciplinary committee. However, Illein couldnāt fully grasp the situation.
As Alisha shot her a glare while exiting, Illein felt a sinking feeling in her chest. Her expression was filled with unease, unable to shake off the lingering discomfort.
Edwin frowned as he observed her.
Perhaps sensing the shock she had experienced, he felt irritated. Meanwhile, Melias and Damon, standing near Illein, glared at Willai.
Melias had not been pleased ever since Willai had mentioned Illenas.
He was surprised that he could become so consumed by such base emotions.
He thought of himself as a cold and composed person, yet he found himself emotionally affected when it came to Illein.
At that moment, he felt a strong urge to harm Willai, who seemed utterly detestable.
The impulse to punish him even more than refusing to extend the Macintosh family’s debts was overwhelming.
“Illein, are you okay?”
Melias asked, checking on her condition.
“Ah, yes⦠Iām fine.”
“Fine? What do you mean by that?”
Damon wrapped his arm around Illein’s shoulders as he spoke.
“Donāt worry. Theyāll have to face the magistrate anyway. Weāll also go when the public trial happens, so weāll see them get what they deserve then.”
Damon was angrier than anyone else in the room.
To anyone looking on, they might think he was the victim himself, given how fiercely he comforted Illein.
Illein struggled to find a response. This was her first experience in such a situation, and everything felt awkward.
It was Meliasās intervention that helped alleviate her discomfort.
“Illein, letās go. Iāll take you back to the mansion.”
Melias felt he couldnāt leave Illein alone in this state.
Illein was somewhat exhausted. However, being with him felt like it would only tire her more.
She still felt uneasy around Melias. While he was indeed serious and kind, she found herself tense in his presence.
So, she shook her head, gently declining Meliasās offer.
Damon quickly stepped in.
“Then how about taking our family carriage?”
Damon was usually one to walk. If not, he could have easily flown using his magic.
Yet, seeing Illein’s pale complexion, he pulled out his wand, ready to call for the carriage at any moment.
“No! I actually planned to stop somewhere with Edwin⦠Thank you, Melias!”
Illein said this as she tried to distance herself from them.
She couldnāt shake the feeling that Edwin had been wanting to say something but had kept silent.
Illein remembered that she would have to hold his hand for twenty minutes.
“But you look exhausted, Illein.”
“Iām fine, Melias. And thank you.”
Illein appreciated the kindness Melias always showed her. He was someone who had helped her multiple times.
“Well, if you say so. But you canāt faint on the way!”
Damon said this while playfully messing up Illein’s hair.
“Ah, okay! Thanks!”
“Donāt mention it.”
As he said this, Damon shot a glance at Melias.
“Well, see you tomorrow, Damon! See you tomorrow, Melias!”
With that, Illein left school while maintaining a peculiar distance from Edwin.
