Illein was having a strange dream. She couldn’t tell where the dream began.

She hoped that the encounter with Rodein was just a dream, but it felt increasingly like the present moment was the dream, and it unsettled her.

She was certain that in the dream, she was wearing a ring. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be appearing as a man.

“Skipped another meal?”

Before her stood Edwin, with his large frame and striking red eyes that seemed to be soaked in blood.

She wondered where she was.

The surroundings were incredibly opulent, resembling a palace in its grandeur and luxury.

The bed she was lying on was exceptionally plush, unlike the old, worn-out spring mattress she was used to in the Thierry Barony. It felt elegant and solidly constructed.

The bed’s headboard was also luxurious. The canopy was majestic, and the fabric hanging from it was of the highest quality, soft to the touch.

And the clothes she was wearing…

“Mmm…”

They were academy uniforms.

She realized something was around her neck, preventing her from speaking.

The dreamlike quality was reinforced by her inability to move, while her vision continued to shift. Even though her body wasn’t moving at her will, she could still feel the sensations vividly.

She vaguely recognized the scent of burning in the room as emanating from Edwin’s magic.

“Would you eat if I force-fed you again?”

“Mmm…!”

Every time she tried to speak, something obstructed her throat.

She felt a sense of threat.

-Clink!

Chains attached to her neck, arms, and ankles extended to the wall, making it seem as though she was imprisoned.

What frightened her most was the lack of doors or windows in the room.

This meant that while the space existed, no one other than the creator of the space could enter or exit.

She suddenly wondered if this place was similar to the mysterious room Edwin had previously moved to without warning.

In that case, she would have to seize the wand from the man in front of her to escape this place.

However, her hands were tightly bound, and she was pulled back, unable to resist the man bringing her food.

“Ugh…!”

“Yeah, I love you too.”

Edwin said this as he forcefully shoved food into Illein’s mouth.

“Cough, ugh!”

“Oh, that’s right.”

Seeing that she was struggling to swallow, Edwin wielded his wand. As a result, the food began to forcefully slide down her throat. She realized that this unpleasant sensation was due to Edwin’s magical control.

“You shouldn’t have starved yourself.”

Seeing his pitiful expression only made the situation more chilling for her.

“Why are you resisting? Haven’t I been kind and loving to you all this time?”

“Ugh….”

“Aren’t you enjoying this? So why are you acting this way?”

Illein finally understood that this was indeed a dream. His face was no longer visible.

Everything appeared pitch black, just as it had in the dance party hall before.

His face was obscured by what seemed like black ink, similar to the visions shown by psychometrists and her erased memories.

“Every time we make love, you’re always the one who clings first.”

“Gasp, ugh….”

“Because you’re afraid of pregnancy, I’ve even kept you as a man. So why are you acting like this? Is my consideration a joke to you?”

She felt like she was losing her mind to the black ink filling her thoughts.

Since Rodein’s visit to the mansion, she had been forgetting who else had visited her.

“Ah…”

As the black ink in her memory completely engulfed her, making it impossible to recall properly.

“Mmm, mmm.”

The darkened, soft lips of the man swallowed her breath.

In a very familiar way.

“Ah!”

Illein screamed in terror from the nightmare and woke up.

There was.

“Illenas!”

Edwin, covered in blood, rushed into the room.

“Illenas, are you okay?”

Even though her recent memories had been tainted, the instinctive fear remained.

“G-get away!”

She shouted as soon as she saw Edwin.

In particular, the Edwin before her was covered in blood, looking as if he had been seriously wounded and attacked by someone.

“Illenas!”

Seeing him approach her, even though he seemed flustered, made her feel like she might faint.

She couldn’t make sense of what was happening. She truly couldn’t understand.

One thing was clear: although her senses were tainted and she couldn’t recall things clearly, she felt that the Edwin she had sensed in the dream was different from the Edwin now.

Illein was overwhelmed by two conflicting emotions.

One was fear. Her body trembled as if it instinctively feared the Edwin before her. It was similar to the primal fear one feels when confronted with a wild beast.

The other was relief. These two contradictory emotions were consuming her.

Illein was very confused.
