Eldis patted Yeshion’s back for a long while.
Yeshion, full of pent-up frustrations, muttered complaints, though his words were so slurred it was hard to understand what he was saying.
Eldis listened patiently, then adjusted Yeshion in his arms and spoke softly.
“Yeshion, I would love to see more of your endearing side, but if this continues, your body might overheat.”
Yeshion mumbled something incoherent in response, but made no further effort to speak. Watching him settle down, Eldis continued.
“For today… let’s just consider this part of your lesson. From now on, I will be infusing my divine power into your body.”
Despite whatever Eldis was saying, Yeshion remained unresponsive, simply burying his face into Eldis’s cool neck, finding comfort in the chill.
But Eldis kept speaking, determined.
“The poison you’ve been afflicted with isn’t coming from an external source this time, but rather from what was left inside your body. Therefore, the treatment might not have the same result as last time.”
“…..”
“It means your body will heat up.”
…Heat up?
Yeshion blinked slowly. He thought he had heard something significant, but he didn’t have the strength to react.
“When your body becomes too hot to handle, you’ll need to relieve the tension by releasing it on your own. That will help expel the poison from your system. Do you understand?”
Eldis didn’t wait for a reply. It wasn’t as if Yeshion was in any condition to give one.
Eldis took off his heavy robes and placed them on the floor beside the bed, then once again adjusted Yeshion in his arms. Interlocking their fingers, he slowly began to channel his divine power into Yeshion’s body.
Yeshion’s body jerked as the sensation surged through him. He let out short, labored breaths, his face pressed against Eldis’s shoulder.
The strange feeling started at his fingertips and gradually spread through his body. It was cool at first, an unfamiliar but pleasant sensation. The divine power wrapped itself around Yeshion’s hand and then began to slowly move across his skin.
It felt like a shapeless hand was gently exploring his body.
A sensation of a chilled hand caressing his feverish skin. The sensation of that hand moving without hesitation over his overheated body was soothing, cooling the heat within him.
It felt as if he was being kissed on the shoulder, with the cool feeling lingering for a moment, before moving elsewhere. The phantom touch trailed down Yeshion’s back and rested on his lower abdomen.
“Hah…”
The alternating sensations of coolness and heat were overwhelming.
Yeshion felt like someone was touching him, yet the feeling wasn’t unpleasant. Instead, it helped ease the burning in his body, bringing a strange sense of relief.
“This is odd. I can’t seem to pinpoint the location of the residual poison.”
Eldis muttered to himself. He shifted his divine power once again.
Suddenly, the formless hand traced Yeshion’s face and forced its way into his mouth.
“Ugh, ngh…!”
Even though there was nothing physically in his mouth, it felt as though it was full, stifling him. The invisible force pushed and pulled within him, making him squirm in discomfort.
Seeing Yeshion struggle, Eldis narrowed his eyes and withdrew his energy.
As soon as it dissipated, saliva dripped from Yeshion’s slightly parted lips.
Yeshion, still dazed and half-conscious, looked up with unfocused eyes.
His lips were slack, and the drool trailing from the corner of his mouth was strangely suggestive.
Eldis couldn’t help but chuckle as he lifted his hand to wipe the drool away.
“You’re drooling.”
“Drooling?” Yeshion repeated, confused, staring at Eldis’s hand.
Hadn’t that hand just been in his mouth? It felt like something had just invaded his mouth, pushing around aggressively.
Yeshion couldn’t stop thinking about it. The more he thought about it, the more irritated he became, and before he realized it, he had bitten down on Eldis’s fingers.
Eldis looked down at Yeshion in surprise as he chewed lightly on his fingers. Their eyes met, Yeshion’s still hazy, but filled with irritation.
“I don’t… like pain.”
“Well, that’s news to me. I was under the impression you were someone who enjoyed it.”
“…I hate it”
“I see. My apologies for messing with your mouth. But I need to find the poison’s remnants in order to cure you.”
Eldis smiled as he spoke, his expression gentle and reassuring. Then, without warning, he pulled Yeshion close, holding him by the waist.
“I’ve already checked everywhere else, but the traces of poison haven’t shown up yet. There’s one more place I need to check.”
