What would they think if I told them I regained memories of my past life on the day our house fell?

Judging by how things are going, they’d probably believe me, but it’s not something that would improve the situation.

And the information I have from the novel is mostly about the three male leads entangled with Vivian, not anything that would be useful to Father or Lionel.

“Then that leaves us with the most important issue.”

At Lionel’s words, Father replied with a stern expression.

“Indeed.”

So now they were going to finally talk about the Imperial Family?

Come to think of it, I should mention the ominous feeling I had earlier in the Imperial Palace too.

I was just about to open my mouth when Lionel abruptly declared:

“The wedding will be held within the month.”

…Huh?

“I plan to have all the formalities wrapped up by the end of this week.”

So that was the most important issue? Our marriage?

“Do you have copies of the marriage documents?”

It seemed Father and Vaikal were thinking the same thing as Lionel.

Of course, it was an important matter for me too, but… I couldn’t help feeling a little odd about it.

“Of course. Here, please take a look.”

So that thick bundle of papers he gathered in the carriage earlier… it must’ve been the marriage documents.

Father flipped through the pages slowly, one by one, a deep furrow forming between his brows.

Was there something he didn’t like? It looked perfect to me. What if I made some kind of mistake?

I watched him nervously, only for him to click his tongue.

“Well done. It’s meticulous and thorough. With this, not even the Imperial Family would be able to uncover Serenia’s identity through a background check.”

Why did he say that with such a displeased expression, like he hated giving praise?

‘I worried for nothing.’

With a sigh of relief, I finally let my tense body relax.

“Father… is this truly the only way?”

Vaikal, who had been reviewing the documents with him, spoke with a despondent look.

“If it was going to come to this, we should’ve just entrusted her to the Duke of Calitas. That would’ve been better for Serenia, too.”

“B-Brother…!”

Vaikal had unintentionally pressed Lionel’s jealousy button.

Thankfully, Father intervened before things got out of hand.

“This was your sister’s decision.”

Vaikal turned to me, his eyes shimmering with tears.

“She only chose this because she doesn’t know anything. The memory of that day is still so vivid… You told me to leave past feelings in the past, but it still feels like my heart is being torn to shreds.”

The tears he could no longer hold back fell in heavy drops, steeped in a grief too deep to measure.

“While that bastard lived however he pleased, forgetting everything… Serenia…”

“Enough.”

Father firmly cut him off.

Then, gathering the documents with a few taps, he handed them to Lionel.

“Lord Luanax, I’ve forgotten how to expect anything. After being worn down, again and again… even if I wanted to hope, I can’t. So there’s only one thing I ask of you.”

Facing Lionel, who met his gaze silently with a somber expression, Father spoke.

“Do your best today. If even for a single day my daughter can smile, then I’ll want nothing else.”

Lionel’s fingertips trembled as he received the papers.

“For that, I’ll stake everything on you. Everything Solen has built under me from this day forward, it will all be yours.”

On top of the stack of documents sat something that didn’t belong to Lionel.

It was the seal of the Master, the one that could command the information guild spanning the entire continent.

“This will be my daughter’s dowry.”
