It Seems Like The Infamous Trash Can is Right Here! - Chapter 202
“Serenia?”
While I was crouching in front of the door, shivering in the cold, a welcome voice was heard.
Lionel and Halid, who had been walking this way, discovered me.
“Why are you out here?”
Looking at me with surprised eyes for only a moment, Lionel quickly approached me.
“I came out to meet you.”
I decided not to reveal the truth about why I came out from my own mouth.
When I smiled brightly and stood up, Lionel’s gaze swept over my ankles and calves revealed below my skirt hem.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
When I asked while looking back and forth between Lionel and Halid, Lionel subtly moved to block Halid from my view.
“It was just sparring. I rarely get injured.”
“That’s a relief then.”
“Let’s go inside quickly. The wind is cold.”
Lionel looked at me with an anxious expression, unable to touch me, perhaps because he’d been sweating.
‘Now what do I do?’
Since the bedroom door was open, if we made noise, they’d probably realize Lionel had returned. Then at least they’d close the door.
After Lionel and Halid followed me into the building, I pretended to cough loudly and noisily.
“Oh my, are you alright?”
Lionel flustered about not knowing what to do, then brought water from the kitchen.
“Ahem… thank you.”
As I drank the water he handed me sip by sip, I perked up my ears.
As expected, no sounds could be heard anymore.
‘Should I be glad they’re not completely oblivious?’
Anyway, this meant I’d kept faith with Vivian.
…Though one might wonder if there was any faith to keep, wasn’t she the person who wrote a novel I enjoyed reading? And we can’t leave out the fact that we lived in the same world, same time period.
“Well then, rest well.”
I finally looked at Halid as he gave his greeting.
Whatever happened during the sparring, he was in a slightly dazed state.
“Sleep well too, Duke.”
After exchanging greetings with Halid, Lionel and I returned to the bedroom together.
After draping the shawl over a chair and getting into bed, burying myself in the fluffy blanket, I finally felt like I could live.
I mustn’t forget that winter is coming soon.
Lionel, who had been gazing down at me giggling drowsily as my frozen body melted in warmth, turned around.
“I’ll wash up and come back, so rest.”
For some reason, Lionel left the bedroom after saying that.
“But there’s a bathroom here?”
I just blinked in puzzlement, when suddenly I started hearing thumping sounds from downstairs.
It sounded like something was being broken, or thrown…
‘Hmm…’
This wasn’t right.
Come to think of it, Lionel’s face had no trace of a smile.
‘I think he caught them…?’
I learned shortly after that my suspicion wasn’t wrong.
Ardin, who followed Lionel with his face deathly pale, came and cast several spells on our bedroom.
“You won’t need to worry anymore.”
I asked Lionel, who was finally smiling at me.
“The Young Marquis is still alive, right?”
Dantère… he’s dirty but it would be troublesome if he died.
“Of course.”
I’d have to wait until tomorrow to find out what happened.
“Oh, come to think of it, we were supposed to start physical training for you and Vivian from today, but I forgot.”
I flinched inwardly.
“Physical training on a journey, wouldn’t that be difficult?”
“We’ll have to find a way.”
Lionel’s will to build up my stamina seemed firm. I also naturally thought that should be the case, but…
“There’s nothing to be done about today.”
Right, right. It’s late at night, what could we do?
Thinking that and inwardly breathing a sigh of relief, Lionel tossed off his clothes.
“To train your thigh muscles, it would be better for you to move on top of me.”
“…What?”
What did I just hear? Move what where?
He climbed onto the bed and cast a dark shadow over me as I stared at him with wide eyes.
“The soundproofing is perfect, so you don’t need to worry about that anymore.”
