Helios frowned. It was hard to pull back the reins of desire now that they were loose.
It was so good, a thousand expletives threatened to burst forth. Heleos gritted her teeth and continued to thrust.
They both called out each other’s names desperately, but neither answered.
The friction where they met, over and over again, was electrifying.
A shiver ran down Helios’s spine as he slid himself once more into Rienna’s body.
He was reaching his limit.
Like a spear piercing the heart of an enemy, he plunged hard into her waiting womb.
At that moment, a thick stream of fluid burst from the tip.
As he released every drop that had been building inside of him, Helios held Rienna’s brxxsts so tightly that they threatened to bruise.
The hot liquid drenched her insides, filling her to the brim and leaking out through the cracks.
Rienna opened her tightly closed eyes. She was still holding him, convulsing with pleasure.
“Rienna.”
Helios licked the snake’s bite mark with his tongue. His voice, filled with lust, was low and hoarse.
It was over.
Rienna’s fingertips, overcome by a sense of release, slid down Helios’s shoulder.
Her eyes fluttered shut. Helios’s soft kiss followed.
“I love you…”
Helios murmured.
But Rienna’s senses were all too numb and dimming to hear what he had said.

Helios’s pupils, as he gazed at the deeply sleeping Rienna, were as deep as the abyss.
Rienna’s skin had regained its original color. But in its place, it was now covered with the markings that he had left.
She looked as though she had wrestled with a vicious animal.
Helios’s heart was heavy, wondering if he had ended up tormenting her under the guise of medical treatment.
He had resolved not to get greedy, out of consideration for Rienna’s condition, but the moment he was trapped within her warm depths, that resolve burned to ashes.
Was there ever a moment when the expression “losing one’s mind” fit so perfectly?
It was fortunate he came to his senses midway. If he hadn’t, he might have done something beastly to the unconscious Rienna.
A beast. That’s exactly what he was.
He became acutely aware that his very existence could be a threat to Rienna.
Rienna was the one who had been imprinted on, but as time passed, it was Helios who found himself overwhelmed with possessiveness toward her.
He knew this wasn’t normal. That’s why he even consulted Ebony about it.
‘That’s strange. But it’s one of the classic symptoms of imprinting.’
Recalling Ebony’s words, Helios ran a dry hand over his face.
His body felt heavy from mental exhaustion, yet he couldn’t bring himself to close his eyes.
He gently stroked Rienna’s hair.
How much of the venom had been neutralized?
Who was the one that brought a snake into Rienna’s bedroom?
“Your Highness, it’s Vincenzo.”
Helios’s hand stopped.
Wearing only his trousers, he grabbed the shirt from the floor and loosely draped it over his shoulders before opening the door.
He scanned Vincenzo, who stood in the hallway, and then stepped aside.
Giving him permission to enter, Vincenzo stepped inside.
“The cleanup at the hunting grounds has been completed.”
Vincenzo checked the bed over Helios’s shoulder, then lowered his voice.
Helios shifted to the side, as if to block Rienna from Vincenzo’s view.
“Give the map to the ceremonial team. As for reporting to His Majesty… you can do it on your own time.”
Vincenzo didn’t answer right away and instead gauged Helios’s mood.
It was bad enough that he’d strayed from the hunting grounds, but if the prince didn’t personally report to the Emperor, he was sure he’d be in trouble.
“Let’s postpone the report for now, Your Highness. Also, I found out the snake’s scientific name.”
The reason Vincenzo looked especially worn out was because he had taken on a new task immediately after inspecting the hunting grounds.
“The snake that bit Lady Rienna is a yellow-banded viper. It’s a venomous species native to the Luang region. Due to its unique habitat, it can only be found there.”
Helios leaned to one side and stuck his hand in his pocket. He wasn’t interested in a biology lecture.
“So why was that snake here?”
