“Let’s talk about the baton later, Your Highness. Right now, your health comes first. Come over here.”

As I beckoned, Helios backed away. I chuckled at the sight of the big man hopping around like a frightened rabbit.

“Your Highness, I’m not joking.”

I gave him a stern look, and Helios frowned.

He bit and released his lower lip. His red lips puffed out as if he were actually unwell.

He seemed to be debating whether to refuse or accept the treatment. His deliberation didn’t last long. The problem was what came out of it was a question, not a decision.

“Rienna, can you handle it?”

“What do you mean?”

“If you confirm, you’ll also have to take responsibility. That responsibility won’t be light.”

I burst out laughing. I had already signed my life away when I accepted the position as Helios’s physician. His attempts at intimidation didn’t scare me.

I raised my chin slightly and replied, “Of course.”

But I regretted my hasty response as soon as it escaped my lips.

“What you touched, that’s mine.”

Helios lifted the corner of his mouth and pointed to his lower back.

So, the spot he pointed to, it’s like, um, the core of a man…

My eyes went wide. I clamped my hands over my mouth.

Was that what I touched? Really? Could it be that big? If it were true, wouldn’t it be a subject for research? And above all, is Helios’s waist okay carrying something that large?

All sorts of thoughts raced through my mind. This wasn’t just a curiosity based strictly on my doctor’s point of view. This was real.

“You said you’d take responsibility.”

Helios’s voice broke through my thoughts. His smirk felt oddly suggestive.

“No, I didn’t. That was a mistake.”

I shifted my attitude as if flipping over my palm, but I wasn’t ready yet.

Ready to accept that!

And why should I be responsible for his member, which had stumbled out of nowhere.

Now I see that the cause of the problem was him.

I needed to scold that child, a culmination of instincts without any thoughts, but it’s a shame that I don’t have a way to do it.

“Rienna, once you say something, you have to stick to it. It’s about building trust, isn’t it?”

Helios took a step toward me, one foot in front of the other.

Gone was the flustered man I could tease, replaced by a confident, assertive commander.

Red warning lights flashed in my mind.

“Come here. I’m exhausted.” Helios furrowed his brow slightly, flashing an awkward smile.

He was trying to charm me, even resorting to using his good looks.

The situation was turning against me. I was at a crossroads.

“Rienna.”

As I hesitated, Helios reached out and grabbed my shoulder. His face, now close to mine, still had that flushed glow.

Seeing his handsome face snapped me back to reality. It was enough that I had stolen Helios’s first kiss. I can’t take away his first night too.

I made up my mind and closed my eyes. Then, grabbing my head, I hesitantly sank to the floor.

“Your Highness, my head hurts.”

I made an effort to snivel.

“Where does it hurt?”

Helios, who I expected to embrace me immediately, instead asked a question. I felt his gaze on my bowed forehead.

“My head, and, um, my chest, just all over.”

Would he buy into my act?

I performed method acting, clutching my chest as if in agony.

“Really.”

Helios’s voice had a mix of disbelief. It seemed my act was transparent.

What if Helios got angry?

Worried, I discreetly lowered my hand and raised my eyes to steal a glance at him.

“You deceive knowingly and unknowingly.”

Bending down in front of me, he effortlessly lifted me up.

To be caught or not to be caught.

“Your Highness… I’m really in pain…”

“I know. But I can’t treat you right now. Don’t hold onto me asking for treatment. I can’t take responsibility then.”

After gently laying me down on the bed, Helios carefully covered me with the blanket.

I knew.

I know I lied.

He knows it’s a lie.

Helios, pretending not to know until the end, patted the blanket as if soothing me, then left.

A sweet, thoughtful man. A label unfit for a villain.

He was supposed to be a villain.

As the time spent with him grew longer, the original label of him being a villain began to feel more and more unfamiliar.

Helios was actually a good guy.

So who made him a villain?
