Sure, the princess is highly regarded, but Riosa was also one of the three first-grade purifiers in the fortress.

ā€˜And Sir Michael doesn’t seem particularly attached to his current purifier.’

A pair, after all, was a mere temporary marital relationship.

That’s why knights often slept with their purifiers to satisfy both their purification needs and physical desires.

Of course, he’s a paladin, so it was only natural that he’d keep his distance. Still, since it’s his right as a pair, you’d think he’d enjoy it a bit…

ā€˜That woman is quite pretty too, but he didn’t seem to be enjoying it.’

All Riosa saw was him escorting her, holding her hand like a noble escorting a lady.

The maids she had planted on that side said they hadn’t seen him visit at night, and the bed hadn’t been dirtied either.

That means, true to his reputation, he was probably getting only the bare minimum contact for purification.

ā€˜But I’d like to enjoy it a bit more.’

It was a body deserving of admiration.

Even though Riosa’s current pair was a renowned knight, compared to Michael, he was no different to a blubbering child.

ā€˜Spending a night of purification with a body like that must be amazing.’

Confident in her purification abilities, she sometimes intentionally pushed her knights to the edge.

At that point, they’d lose their reason and come at her like madmen.

She licked her lips.

ā€˜If I could spend even one night with Sir Michael…’

And Michael was deeply devout. Even if he felt guilty about losing his purity, he would undoubtedly take full responsibility.

ā€œTo have the strongest holy knight on the continent as my husband…ā€

He had spent his entire life in the male-only paladin order, avoiding women.

What kind of man would he become at night?

Riosa’s eyes sparkled with anticipation as she gazed at the building across the way.

Crash!

Another vase flew through the air and shattered against the wall.

Vases worth hundreds of gold each were reduced to worthless ceramic shards on the floor in an instant.

Cecilia’s maids sighed as they calculated the value of the damage.

It was the first time she had ever displayed such anger within the fortress.

The fortress was practically under her rule.

Everyone paid attention to her mood, bowing their heads in submission.

But recently, during a meeting, a purifier left without the princess’s permission.

At the time, they thought they just had to endure the princess’s annoyance for a day…

ā€˜Who would’ve thought that woman would cause such a stir.’

When they heard the news about her forming her own circle, they all laughed it off.

But when word spread that her group, led by Sir Michael, had successfully conquered a high-tier dungeon and fairly shared the artifacts as rewards, things changed.

The first to leave the princess’s circle were the purifiers ranked around fifth-grade.

Those who had been groveling in thanks for barely being allowed to join the high-tier dungeon raids through the princess.

Those who had received the smallest share of the rewards.

They completely forgot the princess’s grace and rushed to join Irene Rhodiam’s circle, lured by the promise of fair distribution.

At first, the princess scoffed at these moths drawn to the flame.

But the severity of the situation became clear during the intermediate-tier dungeon raid she organized yesterday.

Only half the usual participants showed up.

They all had excuses—sickness, other dungeon commitments—but it turned out that they had gone to join Irene’s circle instead.

Now, receiving that report, the princess was throwing every breakable object she could find.

She wasn’t rampaging madly. In fact, that might have been better because then her fury would be obvious.

Instead, she maintained her usual calm demeanor, quietly picking up a vase and methodically smashing each one.

After breaking everything she could, the princess elegantly sat down in her chair.

Just then, a document clerk entered with information about newly registered dungeons.

The princess’s eyes gleamed as she looked over the paper.

Shortly after, she gave her maids an order.

ā€œSend a message to all circle members. I’ll be organizing a large-scale raid in a few days, so anyone interested should sign up.ā€
