Me, the Weakest Member of the Hero’s Party? I’m the Villain Though? - Chapter 132
Kyle opened the door impatiently and went inside, then carefully set me down on the bed.
“Wait here. I’ll bring a towel.”
He pulled away the damp cloak that had been wrapped around my body and threw it onto the floor, leaving me sprawled naked on the bed.
How had I ended up in this state? Embarrassment, shame, awkwardness, and bewilderment were all tangled together, leaving my feelings complicated.
“Aren’t you cold? I’ll dry you off right away. You might catch a cold if you sleep while wet.”
Kyle came over with a towel, then stripped off his own clothes, which had gotten soaked as well. I wanted to turn my head away in embarrassment, but it didn’t go the way I wanted.
So I squeezed my eyes shut, and then I heard Kyle’s busy footsteps. Unable to hold back my curiosity, I opened my eyes narrowly and saw that Kyle had found a robe and put it on.
Kyle sat on the edge of the bed and began carefully wiping my body.
“Your body’s gotten cold already. You’re cold, aren’t you?”
I wanted to answer that I was fine, but the words wouldn’t come out as I intended, which was frustrating.
After putting the towel aside, Kyle covered my body with a blanket and held me tightly in his arms. My frozen body melted, and I finally felt safe, so my heart relaxed too.
Kyle held me in his arms for a long time. I couldn’t refuse anyway, but I didn’t particularly want to push him away either, so I quietly stayed in his embrace.
“…To be honest, I was really worried.”
Along with Kyle’s pleasant low voice, I felt a vibration from his chest where it touched my shoulder.
“When I woke up in the forest this morning. I couldn’t see you, Lysian, and I felt like I was going crazy with worry.”
Without realizing it, I carefully opened the eyes I had been squeezing shut, then was a little startled because Kyle’s face was right in front of me.
But my body still wouldn’t move, and I could only blink. Kyle looked into my eyes and continued in a low voice.
“I kept having bad thoughts, and my heart felt like it was about to burst. I was so anxious that I felt like I might really do anything. If the others hadn’t been there, I might actually have caused some kind of trouble. It was the first time I’d ever felt that kind of impulse…”
His deeply sincere feelings came through in his faintly trembling voice. He really had been worried about me. He had been anxious because I disappeared. I could keenly feel his honest emotions.
“I’ve never been this worried when another party member disappeared before. I don’t really understand why I’m this worried about you, Lysian.”
Kyle continued speaking without avoiding my gaze.
“I don’t know what this feeling is either. But the one thing I’m certain of is that you’re someone truly precious to me, Lysian. So don’t make me worry.”
I was just as confused. I was curious too about what exactly Kyle’s feelings were.
Why did Kyle treasure me so much?
I stared blankly into Kyle’s deep eyes. I could see myself reflected in them. It felt as if I were swimming through a blue sea.
“I’m sorry, but I overheard what that Caesar or whatever his name is said earlier. I’m doing this to undo the paralysis, so don’t misunderstand.”
I couldn’t understand what Kyle was talking about at all, but without any further explanation…
He kissed me.
It was a bold move, completely different from when I had secretly and carefully pressed my lips to his while he was asleep. I was so startled I thought my heart had stopped.
Reflexively, I tried to push him away, but my already paralyzed body had stiffened, so all I managed was a small twitch.
Our lips pressed firmly together, but I still thought he would pull away soon. Instead, Kyle grasped the nape of my stiffened neck with his palm.
The only thing I could do was squeeze my eyes tightly shut. But when Kyle gently sucked on my lower lip, I was startled.
“Mngh…!”
At the unfamiliar sensation, a small groan slipped out before I realized it. But Kyle didn’t stop what he was doing, and instead tilted his head more boldly to the side, taking my lips even more actively.
I couldn’t believe that what was happening to me right now wasn’t a dream. I wanted to pinch my cheek, but I couldn’t even do that.
