His hand that had been pressing against my stomach caressed near my navel.

Helios said softly. He was waiting for me to speak first.
I was annoyed because he backed away cleanly. His actions felt like a tantrum.
Helios was playing with the nape of my neck with the tip of his nose, humming a tune as if he was having too much fun.
His breath seduced me. My heart began to race, pounding in my chest.
All that was between him and me was a thin shirt.

Helios smirked, his eyes narrowing. A sense of satisfaction that things went his way passed over me.
“You villain.”
Despite my accusation, the smile never left his face.
“What kind of villain heals the sick?”
He hiked up my skirt. Before I could stop him, his hand slipped between my legs. The feel of his hands on my flesh was intoxicating.
I hooked my hands around his neck and clung to him with my whole body. Helios’s amused chuckle vibrated through me.
He hugged me tightly and brushed his lips against the nape of my neck.
I could feel his gaze linger on the flesh exposed through the collar of my shirt.
“It’s all gone.”
The marks where he’d licked and bitten and sucked.
There was a regret in his voice that surprised me a little.
“You healed it, Your Highness, so it’s gone.”
“I did. I felt bad for marring your jade-like skin. So why do I feel so bad that they’re gone?”
His voice was sweet, but the question felt haunting somehow.

Before I could ask what he was going to do next, he bit the tip of my ear. The sudden attack caught me off guard, and I grabbed my ear with one hand and pushed him away.
