Chapter 153

âMmph, mmâŚâ
My fingertips twitched. But I couldnât move, and they merely squirmed beneath his palm as he held them down.
My head grew hazy from the sensation stirring through my mouth. Surely this was enough by now. The area around my mouth was completely wet.
âNow, th-thatâs, enoughâŚâ
âJust a little more.â
Gerard spread one of my legs wide and pressed his lower body tightly against mine. Everything touching him was hot, but the thickly swollen center of his body held an especially dizzying heat.
When I tried to escape, he released the hand he had been pinning down as though restraining me and cupped both my cheeks. Tilting his head at an angle, he pressed his lips against mine more firmly than before.
He kissed me even more passionately, deep enough for the high bridge of his nose to press into one of my cheeks, as though trying to seize me with arousal before I could run away.
âHaa, mmph, I-I canât breatheâŚâ
Whenever I inhaled because I lacked air, his tongue only pushed farther inside. Every time his muscular body heaved with heavy breaths, the hem of my clothes kept riding up and exposing my bare skin.
Because I hated the cold air, I unconsciously rubbed against him, wanting to press my skin to his hot body.
âDoes it feel good? Youâre moving your hips.â
âB-Because itâs coldâŚâ
Gerard let out a short breath. âHuu.â Then he thrust his lower body sharply upward. It was swollen so firmly that I could feel it clearly even through our clothes. Before the sensation could grow any stranger, I raised my knees with the tips of my feet and pushed against the bed.
It wasnât enough to escape, but it conveyed my intentions clearly. Gerard lightly bit my lower lip one last time before finally releasing me.
But he didnât move away completely. He remained beside me, carefully wiping my wet face and pulling down the clothes that had ridden up.
âDonât you need me to change you? I think youâre wet.â
Just before his hand could slip toward my g***n, I urgently seized his wrist.
âI-Iâll do it myself!â
âYouâre not denying it.â
Gerard pressed his lips to my cheek and laughed. Heat instantly rushed through my entire body. I tried to escape him and flee to the living room or bathroom, but before I could even sit up, an arm curved around my waist.
Flop. Gerard pulled me toward him as I lay on the bed. His firm body pressed against my back.
âShould we go somewhere tomorrow?â
Gerard knew my schedule better than I did.
He knew that aside from training, I had nothing else to do and no friends to meet.
Most of the trainees about to graduate were from noble families, and even the few commoner trainees were reasonably well-off.
I was the only one poor enough to live from one dayâs earnings to the next, so naturally, I couldnât afford to spend money at their level. Even aside from that, I had always worked part-time without fail on my days off, so I hadnât had the time.
âGo somewhere for what?â
He called it going out, but it was no different from asking me on a date. I was purifying Gerard, but that was all. We werenât in the kind of relationship where we did such sweet, ticklish things.
âLetâs go anywhere. Anywhere you want.â
I pushed him away from behind me and answered.
âUnder the blankets.â
âThatâs where I want to go too.â
Gerard pulled me tightly against him again by the small distance I had managed to create.
âI mean by myself. Alone.â
âDonât think of it as something grand. You donât have anything to do tomorrow anyway.â
He had no idea. How could I possibly have nothing to do?
âWould you be able to stop by the bookstore tomorrow?â
I had a very important appointment that I had been eagerly waiting for.
âAnyway, Iâm fine. And since I purified you today, donât come tomorrow. I want to rest comfortably by myself.â
My words came out colder than usual.
I felt Gerard bury his face near my shoulder.
âIf you were trying to hurt me, you succeeded.â
ââŚWhat did I even say?â
âIâm being dispatched soon. For quite a while.â
I paused while trying to shake off his hand.
âWerenât you supposed to avoid combat for the time being?â
âI wonât be fighting. Iâll only be commanding.â
They said Great Beasts had been appearing frequently lately, so it seemed that was true.
No one could match Gerard when it came to experience fighting Great Beasts.
Even though he couldnât participate in battle directly, it seemed they were taking him along as a commander this time.
âWhen are you leaving?â
âIn fifteen days.â
âI thought you meant you were leaving right away.â
Gerard raised his body slightly.
When I glanced back, I met his gaze as he looked down at me with his chin propped on one hand.
There seemed to be some dissatisfaction in his eyes.
